DANIELLA KALLMEYER is the multi-disciplinary designer of her name-sake New York womens fashion brand. Daniella’s extensive background in fine and performing arts lead her to Syracuse University to study a double major in Fashion Design and Theater Design. After internships at Luca Luca and Proenza Schouler, Daniella moved to England where she worked with Alexander McQueen as a womenswear assistant at the then recently launched McQ line, and graduated with merit from the London College of Fashion (LCF.)
Upon graduating from LCF, Daniella’s collection was selected to participate in the exclusive Royal Academy Press Show in London, where VOGUE UK, WGSN, and various British News publications noted her “One To Watch.”
After working for New York brands Jen Kao and Alice + Olivia, Daniella launched her collection in the Spring of 2011, and in May of 2012 was selected as one of WWD’s designers to watch.
Daniella’s enthusiastic support of entrepreneurship and US production has taken her from Capitol Hill for the launch of “Buy Young” with OurTime.org, to Senator Kristin Gillibrand’s Womens Economic Empowerment Summit, to New York’s “Save The Garment Center” and Made in NY.
The South African born designer’s stong female role models, and cosmopolitan influences are translated into the spectrum of her work, and her passion and regard for her customers is the driving force in producing beautiful and lasting product.
Daniella now proudly produces 100% of her collection in America, and continues to integrate beauty, integrity, and longevity into her every brand experience.
